Videos for Corporate Learning

default-16x9

Hi

Can anyone recommend a video hosting site that I can store my learning videos on and they can be seen through company firewalls.

I have some marketing videos and also some elearning videos that I need to host and then embed on another site. Sites like Vimeo and YouTube are out as the company firewalls won't allow them to be seen.

I was looking at places like EasyVideoSuite and Also Amazon S3 but I can't test these as I no longer work inside a corporate. I now run my own training and coaching business.

Does anyone have an experience of this and also any recommendations of a good hosting site.

Cheers in advance and I look forward to becoming a more regular visitor to Training Zone :)

    Hi Darren!

We use buto.tv as our video content management site.  We can stream videos from here – and none have been blocked so far – and it also provides you with embedding codes and we've successfully launched videos this way from our intranet pages.

You can also set the streaming format, so that mobile devices can be used as well.

There are options for IT security folks to set parameters to protect the videos from playback on non-company systems, so that might be of interest too.

It's not really an end-user system, so this won't give you a video portal for learners to access to search for videos, etc., but it seems to suit our needs for an easy-to-use place to host our learning and marketing videos.

    Hi Tim

Thanks for your reply. Sounds like it could be useful.

The embed code is exactly what I need as my clients will be viewing the information through another site.

I will take a look and let you know if it works.

Thanks again for taking the time to reply.

    Best regards

    Darren

Prezage is a platform for delivering multimedia e-learning. It's fully cloud-based and provides CDN and streaming infrastructure for you.

Check out prezage.com if you want your content delivered publicly, or prezage.com/ee if you need a private setup.

Happy to discuss any time so get in touch.

    Thanks.
