I am looking for an outline of the "War Games" training game that is used in a Sales & Marketing arena when challenging competitor products. Has anyone used this and would you know where I could get any more information on this?

You might want to contact me and I will be able to put you in contact with someone who is a marketing and sales consultant and might be able to help you out.

Sue,
This was something I did a lot of for 2 years as a European Sales Development Manager. I tried the ‘old’ way, and what I defined as the ‘new’ way. War Gaming seems to be a favourite of technology led companies, and I am quite happy to chat on phone or via email.
Just email on pdk.iako@btinternet.com, and we can exchange details to chat if required.
War Games should be fun as well as focussed, and it is the focus bit that tends to get lost in my experience.
War Games
I have used this activity before when covering the subject of objection handling … delegates love this game as it is something different

War games for sales and marketing (AKA management or business games & simulations) are widely used to embed sales and marketing learning in a competitive and engaging way. If you need specific examples or to discuss your needs contact me or visit http://www.simulations.co.uk
