WebWise launched by BBC

The BBC Education programme to encourage and support people to become ‘web-savvy’ was officially launched on 26 April. WebWise links to Adult Learning Week and the Learning Direct service to provide a series of media promotions and programmes encouraging people to phone the Learning Direct helpline (0800 100 900) and receive an information pack. There are more the 50,000 locations around the country offering free taster sessions to people interested in getting started on the Internet.
