Next week it's be Budget time again. This government has been talking a lot about skills and productivity, but what action would really make a difference? What would you like to see Gordon Brown doing to help UK skills?

We recently reported on a campaign to take VAT off training. We thought that would be one way to revive some of the benefits of the ILAs without the enormous admin costs. What's your view?

We also expect an extension of the Employer Training Pilots, as predicted by LSC head of skills, Michael Stark, as well more support for other initiatives to get employers involved in planning training provision.
