TrainingZONE has some big plans for early 2002 - get the details here first!
First off, launching on 7 January, is our brand new online development programme aimed at anyone wanting to get to grips with any of the thorny issues surrounding evaluation and Return on Investment. For the first two weeks, you'll be able to access a preview of EvaluationZone free of charge, and host Paul Kearns will be online to answer your questions. Over the coming months, new workshops, discussion forums, practical exercises and in-depth explanatory materials will be added so that you can develop your knowledge. Log on for a free workshop with Paul on Thursday 10 January, when he'll be explaining why calculating a Return on Investment needn't be as complicated as it seems.
From January, the site also plays host to a new series of monthly feature articles looking at coaching and mentoring, and management development. Dr Richard Hale, Associate Professor in Management Development with the Association of International Management Centres (IMCA) will be bringing his experience of the impact of mentoring on learning for both individuals and organisations to a series of features on the subject.
As a former professor of Management Development at the University of Cranfield Business School, Dr Charles Margerison is well-placed to highlight some of the key issues on the subject. He's was also a co-founder of team development tool and is currently President of the Action Learning Institute, so you can be sure there'll be plenty of practical food for thought coming up!
For those with a special interest in coaching and mentoring, we'll be launching a new dedicated Zone to join HR Zone, IT TrainingZone, QualityZone, E-learningZone and EvaluationZone in early spring.
For those looking for in-depth materials on particular learning subjects, the Library is about to get a whole lot bigger! With new materials from well-known publishers Butterworth Heinemann and online HR provider OneClickHR being joined by new specialist IT materials, there's lots more to come!
The next few months will also see a greater focus on the key HR and training events of the year. We'll be featuring all the major shows in the HRD calendar alongside a new events directory, designed to help you plan your show visits throughout the next 12 months.
Finally, if you're looking to get your training courses accredited, the CPD Business School will be offering just that through an Action Learning route. Particularly suitable for management development programmes, the accreditation process will be detailed further in the coming weeks.
We hope you enjoy what we've got planned - if there's anything in particular you'd like to see on the site, do let us know.
