I came across the Selling Skills Inventory a couple of years ago. It consists of a questionnaire which presents a number of selling scenarios to which there are multiple choice answers. A self-scoring device enables the subject to rank their effectiveness in key selling skills ares, eg identifying needs, overcoming resistance. The process is designed to establsh where the subject stands in relation to a collaborative selling model, leading to development plans.
