I am a training manager with 4 years of training experience, and I'm looking to increase my professional qualifications (and standing) by going through some kind of formal Coaching training. Our business is just starting to appreciate coaching and it will give me more authority if I had a certificate of some kind.
I know enough about coaching to run basic workshops for our own managers, but want to get more indepth knowledge.
What kind of qualifications are well recognised, and where can I get them?

To accredit or not to accredit?

I’m disappointed by the lack of response to your question, there’s plenty of people offering different sorts of training qualifications and accrediting through different bodies, so I thought you’d be flooded with answers.
I’d love to know the community view on what coaching qualification or accreditation route is best.
Anyone out there have a view?

for interest – Newcastle College are currently offering a distance learning Coaching Certificate and Diploma – free of charge. The qualifications are Nationally recognised and accredited.I’m several months into it – and I heartily recommend it.

It’s not due to this being an uninteresting topic or anybody not wanting to help it is, as stated below that this has already been discussed on this forum in the last week or so. Flick through a bit to find the original topic and you’ll have plenty of ideas.
