Varieties of forms
I think that the idea of a standard form is misleading. Surely each organisation needs to design a specific form to meet its own business needs and fit its structures.. Clive Fletcher’s book ‘ Appraisal – Routes to improved performance is useful in this respect. We are currently piloting 360 degree and I would be pleased to contact you when the pilot is evaluated.

I agree with Elaine – there is no such thing as a standard form. There are generic principles and processes, but each needs to be tailored.

360 Degree Appraisals the pros & cons of standard forms.
Whilst I agree that one” shoe- size” does not fit all and indeed should, in the perfect world be designed for the target audience I have found a couple of sources that have been very helpful. In a controlled way introducing and supporting standard 360 can help to secure individual change.

Perhaps the most important point is to ensure that the target group are supported by training to introduce the use of 360 and actively supported by effective and competent Facilitators. Please ensure that your most senior managers actively support this initiative and lead by example.
