At the RNLI we have a number of trainers, some teach 'soft skills' whilst other teach practical skills (eg boat handling etc). Whilst most of these trainers hold qualifications in their specialist areas I am often asked about an externally recognised Trainer Qualification.
I am aware of the NVQ in Training and Presenting. I am also aware of the CIPD qualification in training, however to progress the CIPD any further you then need to cover the HR side, which is not what our trainers want.
Please can you advise me of what experiance you have of qualifications, and what you would suggest as the most universally recognised, and accepted, 'Trainer Qualification'
Thanks
Tracey
