  1. Teachers on TV

    Hi Steve,

My husband started to watch Brian Cox while I was working in India and insisted I watch upon my return. I agree the format is simple and effective & presented with charisma sprinked with a little irony and humour. I also learn about chemistry/physics  from Heston Blumenthal although I must admit it has done nothing to improve my cooking!

  2. Blast from the past …

Hi all, not sure if you watched Jonathan Ross last Friday but he featured an interview with Professor Brian Cox who was in fact a band member of D-Ream, of "Things Can Only Get Better" fame …  What a shock!  I didn’t see his solar system programme but he did come across very well during his chat with Rossie …  🙂

  3. what about Mr.Fry

    Hiya,

I know this one might not directly fit into your Best Teachers but Stephen Fry in my opinion is a ‘legend’ when it comes to knowing stuff about everything……he falls into the category of ‘People i want a pint with’.

    Anyone agree? 🙂

  4. Not sure

Hmmmm not sure about Mr Fry

I agree he is extremely intelligent and witty but I think he would waffle too much!

I’m going back a bit now but Johnny Ball was pretty good with Maths and Science!

  5. not exactly TV but…

Flanders and Swann…..a song about the first and second laws of thermodynamics!

    Priceless!
