I'm trying to get my head around the use of partnerships within L&D. Does anyone use partnerships, if so what benefits to you get, what things do we need to be careful of?
any help gratefully received

Our company
Hi Helen
Our company, Now Training, is an external training administrator, so we take all the hard work from HR of sourcing courses, negotiating discounts, booking courses, handling course admin away whilst at the same time save companies money so I would be happy to answer any questions you have about partnerships from our perspective.
If you wish to call then please do so on 01920 460218
Kind regards
Blake
Partnerships in L&D
IMHO go back to your business objectives and see whether a partnership with a L&D provider 3rd party would be the best bet.
We are a partner with a software developer who has created a platform for our products and has managed, through another partner, to create the internal e-learning system used by the CIPD!
There are risks on both sides, and you need to ensure that you get as much out of a partnership as the L&D provider will! I, personally, don’t think that ‘ease of administration’ is enough to justify the benefits of using a partner – be demanding – ask for more.
Have a look at http://www.softools.net for some ideas of how they partner – we’re happy!
