Visitors to the World of Learning 2006 Conference and Exhibition this week will be offered the chance to explore their potential in a free one-to-one coaching consultation.
The Human Potential Clinic, led by coach Craig Goldblatt, is just one of the interactive sessions organised for the event.
Other features include:
• The Wizards’ Festival of Learning - featuring novel learning techniques including storytelling and chocolate-making.
• Experiential Learning Zone - short, participative sessions, featuring innovative learning products including Origami and Extreme Dialogue.
• Live Software Simulation Challenge – see six learning software specialists go head-to-head in a live competition to develop and demonstrate a training software simulation package that can teach a new internet user how to search for and purchase an England football shirt on eBay.
• Learning Library – with a variety of learning and training materials and information.
• The exhibition will also have a range of free seminars and product demonstrations.
This year’s conference, is being chaired by ITV news presenter Nicholas Owen and is being opened by Ruth Spellman, Chief Executive of Investors in People, who will examine how companies can maximise their investment in learning.
Among the high profile speakers including Helen Kitchen, Head of Learning and Development at the Home Office, Julie Ramage, Project Manager at the Strathclyde European Partnership Innovation Actions Programme, Helen Rushby, Learning and Development Manager at English Heritage and Liz Macann, Head of Training & Development Delivery at the BBC.
The World of Learning is open from 10am each day, closing at 5pm on Tuesday 14 November and 4pm on Wednesday 15 November.
