Women – dressing for success?

default-16x9

I work for RDF TV, one of the country's leading television production companies, and am currently developing an idea about women and their appearance in the workplace. The main area I am exploring is the link between taking pride in one's appearance and success in one's career. I am therefore looking to talk to women, of all levels, who believe that looking good is a vital part of their working life. I would be especially interested in any high fliers who need to maintain a particularly well-groomed image at work but who don't feel the need to compromise their femininity. Or perhaps there are women who feel that they have to blend in with their male colleagues and rely heavily on trouser suits and pin-stripes in order to succeed. In short, do looks really matter and how much are we prepared to utilize them to get on.

At this stage I am just looking to talk to people on the phone, to establish what kind of experiences women have had. If there are any women you could pass my number onto directly, I would be most grateful. Or, if you were able to post something on a website for me, that would be great too (my email address is sophie.roberts@rdf.co.uk). I need to speak to people as soon as possible as I only have 2 weeks to put the idea together.

Please do call me if you'd like to know more about the project. My direct line is 0207 313 6825.

Thank you so much for your help.
