1. Women in Business Training Program
   Dear Anna,

   I am a small business owner who established a training consultancy service here in Australia. I have been approached to design and conduct a training program for women who have their own businesses but who are seeking some training in areas such as business planning, financial record keeping, balancing work with family, employee recruitment and management, information technology and a range of other subjects. I am not sure at this stage what sort of response we will get from local women but hope it will be positive – as I know I benefited from some initial training when I was setting up my business. The training will be tailored to each individual – as some participants will obviously already have some skills, but will be requiring others. It will be a combination of workplace based projects, classroom sessions and self paced study. The program we will be basing our course on is one that is nationally accredited in Australia, so participants will received a recognised qualification. I am excited by the idea of working with other female busines owners and hope that this sort of project will assist the networking of women business operators in our area. I would be happy to discuss how it goes with you.

   I’ll be willing to help you with some answers – I started a business 10 years ago without any!
   I don’t know of any training for women entrepreneurs, although there should be. Please get in touch if you have specific questions.
