Working in a Partnership Organisation

default-16x9

Hi

I currently work within an organisation that is partnership with a local government.  We provide mainly an IT service, but through our wider community we also provide business transformation and project management services.

We want to update the game we currently use during the induction process.  We would like the game to focus on what it means to "Work in a partnership Organisation".

I've had a browse through the web and I've found lots of games about "team building" or "working together" but nothing about working in partnership.

Does anyone have any ideas for an ice breaker or game that we can use?

Many Thanks - Mary-Jane

    Hi Mary Jane

Do you have behaviours/values that employees have to conform to when working in a Partnership situation? I’m developing a board game and a card game for a well known retailer based on the values of the Company. The idea is that the managers or employees read scenarios and then have to decide which value the situation relates to. It reinforces the messages about what they should be doing and also gives ideas about how they should go about it. These are tailor made games and as far as I know there isn’t anything else around like it.

    Best wishes

    Hi Mary-Jane

I have seen a game called the Red Blue Game used very successfully in partnership working. It is based on ‘The Prisoner’s Dilemma’. It is based on working collaboratively rather than just in your own interests. A link which provides a very good brief on ‘The Prisoner’s Dilemma’ is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prisoner's_dilemma. I hope you find this helpful. I have not yet been able to find a free brief on the Red Blue Game.

    Thanks

    Hi Jackie,

As a company we have outlined our core purpose and values, however, cost as always is an issue hence my shout out for any ideas that are already out there.

    Thanks for your response.
