29 March, 2000 – Young joins SkillSoft from CBT Systems – now Smartforce - and brings to the team extensive experience in the IT industry and the Technology Based Training Sector. “SkillSoft is an innovative and exciting new entrant to the European training market”, Young said, “I believe that my previous experience stands me in good stead to take SkillSoft forward in the Web-based training arena”.
Young heads a senior management team with an unrivalled level of experience comprising over 50 years knowledge of the training arena, affiliated to a number of market leading training establishments, such as, NETg International, Compaq and Motorola, to name but a few.
In his capacity as vice president and managing director, Young will concentrate on driving the business forward, building relationships with existing and new partners and developing new markets by calling on his extensive market knowledge and business expertise.
