for Dummies….
Hi Alex,
Hope I’m not too late for your new job! There is an “Accounting for Dummies” from IDG, which although US oriented does give a pretty good overview. Otherwise, I’ve found “Step-by-Step Bookkeeping” by Robert C Ragan (ISBN 0-8069-8690-5)and “How to read a FInancial Report” byJohn A Tracy (ISBN 0-471-32706-9) to be helpful.
If you have time, see if you can find someone offering “Decision Base” or “Apples & Oranges”, 2 courses from CELEMI. They are extremely effective! Last I heard, Bruce Miller ofSuccess Training, Tel 01734 890338, was the UK Agent.
Hope it helps!
