To differentiate myself from authors in the e-learning market, I have to demonstrate excellent instructional design and be up to date on padagogical theories in practice for the corporate market. Has anyone been on a course to improve your e-learning effectiveness? If so a) what should I insist on and what should I avoid b) can you recommend or advise against a provider. I am based in Hamburg.

Can’t actually recommend any providers – have you tried the Institute of IT Trainers? Address is http://www.iitt.org.uk

Certified e-Learning Professional – CeLP
Corinne,
The Certified e-Learning Professional Programme (CeLP) consists of more than 300 learner hours of online, self-paced study materials designed for collaborative learning with online tutorial support.
Certification tracks are available for: e-Learning Consultants, e-Learning Developers, e-Learning Tutors and e-Learning Managers.
The Certificate programme may then be complemented by a number of electives that broaden the candidate’s knowledge and skills in order to gain a full Diploma in e-Learning.
