The two bodies which ensure that work-based training and qualifications meet rigorous standards today set out how they will work together to promote the quality and effectiveness of Government-funded vocational training.
The Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) and the Training Standards Council (TSC) have agreed to cooperate more closely by pooling information from their programmes of inspections and centre visits, as well as organising joint inspections and shared centre visits to minimise the impact on training providers. The two organisations will also take a strategic view of work-based training, considering how quality can be improved and common problems tackled.
