The US government have formed a group called the Information Sharing and Analysis Center for Information Technology (IT-ISAC) in an attempt to combat security breaches caused by hackers damaging websites.
Organisations such as IBM, Cisco, Microsoft and Oracle are a few of the 19 companies that have joined this non-profit partnership which will force them to work together to share information in a response to computer threats.
Computer attacks have increased threefold since February 2000, when hack attacks effected top web companies such as Yahoo and eBay. This newly formed group intend to send strong messages to hackers stating that they are no longer going to get away with cyberterrorism for much longer.
