Centra and Dimension Data have formed an alliance to offer multi-nationals and enterprises live business-to-business (B2B) internet collaboration and e-learning.
Dimension Data's managing director, Mark Bowman states that their strategy is to partner with innovators so that they can provide their customers with the most advanced and flexible communication solutions and by partnering with Centra presents an excellent opportunity for the Group to expand their communication solutions portfolio.
Centra are a provider of software infrastructure and ASP services for live e-learning and business collaboration. The customer base includes organisations such as Siemens, American Express, Nationwide Insurance and Proctor & Gamble and have further e-learning alliances with Microsoft, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Cisco, Oracle, Saba and Global Knowledge. Their headquarters are based in Boston and have sales offices throughout North Americal, Europe and Asia.
Dimension Data aim to utilise Centra's web application software to enhance tiehr communications solutions for multi-national organisations that need a consistent user interface for communication both locally and remotely.
Centra's products are available as enterprise software or hosted ASP services, include Centra Symposium (for virtual classrooms), Centra Conference (for web-conferencing and events) and Centra eMeeting (for meetings and ad hoc team collaboration).
Lawrence Whittle, vice president of Centra EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) also stated the company's delight at working with Dimension Data and are looking forward to a long-term successful relationship with them.
