International study of training practice

default-16x9

Following the success of the 1999 national survey in training practices in UK organisations (with IPD), CLMS is currently working with a number of overseas partners to replicate the survey in different countries.

The study objectives:
This exercise will form the basis of an international comparative study in April, 2000. The large scale study will probably be the first of its kind. The study will provide a detailed analysis on a wide range of organisational training issues, e.g. the level of training activities, budgetary issues, out-sourcing, training impact, training and strategic issues, the extent of competence-based training, training methods and the use of IT.

In addition, we also explore more complex issues such as how management practices impact of training activities and the concept of 'high performance workplace practices' (HPWP).

Want to see the results? The first set of reports are expected to appear around Jan/Feb of year 2000. If you get in touch now, we'll keep your contact details, and we will email you the relevant output details in due course. If you are interested, please get in touch with Dr. Marcus Powell.

Want to join us? Although the number of participants is fairly high at present, we still welcome partners in countries where we do not have a collaborative institution. If you are in a position to join us, please contact Dr. Marcus Powell.
