THINQ launches mid-range LMS

default-16x9

This week THINQ Learning Solutions announced a new product for mid-sized companies - typically with up to 5,000 employees - that need learning management system (LMS) capabilities without the management and maintenance overhead of an enterprise-scale LMS. The new
product, called the THINQ Learning Manager, based on the THINQ TrainingServer® Learning Management System technology, provides mission critical learning management functionality, while involving minimal up-front investment with just days to implement.

THINQ's new mid-tier solution is a hosted "application service provider" (ASP) service that frees companies from having to manage and maintain new applications.

"Our products easily scale to global demands, but for some customers less is more," said Ray Maskell, THINQ's chief operating officer. "We've answered their needs at an affordable price to help them achieve their business goals
and sharpen their competitive edge."

Editor's Comment: The major LMS players have been focusing on high-end enterprise solutions until now, and there is definitely room for a mid-tier solution. This announcement may be the first of many. Does it fulfil a need? What is your opinion?
