Vaughan Waller, the well known industry analyst and chairman of the eLearning Network (ELN), has become director of consultancy at Bridge-Learning Ltd.
Commenting on Waller’s appointment – and Bridge-Learning’s change of status, which sees it become a limited company after many years as a partnership – Bridge-Learning’s managing director, Andy Stevenson, said: “We are delighted that Vaughan Waller has agreed to join Bridge-Learning. He is highly knowledgeable and well respected in the field of e-learning and has a justifiably high profile.
“Bridge-Learning had reached a critical stage in its development during the summer and we felt that expansion was the right thing to do in order to take advantage of the current market opportunities.
Waller, who has combined running an e-learning consultancy – Technologies for Business & Learning – with being chairman of the ELN, the UK’s foremost association of users and developers of all aspects of e-learning, has been shortlisted, alongside Jim Wilson of the Forum for Technology in Training, for the ‘Outstanding Contribution to the Open Learning Industry’ award in this year’s WOLCE and e-learning Awards. The winners of these Awards are due to be announced at a gala dinner held during the World Open Learning Conference and Exhibition (WOLCE), at the NEC in Birmingham in October.
