NETg and Cyberwisdom.net, its Chinese counterpart, today announced a strategic partnership to provide e-learning solutions to companies in Greater China. Under a localisation and distribution agreement signed last month, Cyberwisdom.net will localise NETg's e-Learning content into Chinese (including Simplified Chinese for the Mainland market and Traditional Chinese for the Hong Kong and Taiwan markets), as well as distribute NETg's courses and other training resources in Greater China.
"We are very excited about our partnership with NETg," said Lewis Chan, CEO of Cyberwisdom.net Limited. "With China's entry to the World Trade Organisation, e-Learning is seen as one of the key strategies to more cost-effectively upgrade our workforce to face rapidly increasing global competition. Cyberwisdom.net has a strong clientele in Greater China. Most of our clients are looking for good off-the-shelf online courses with proven instructional design. The Chinese version of NETg's e-Learning content will definitely provide what most corporations and education service providers have long been waiting for."
NETg's partnership with Cyberwisdom.net and subsequent work in China is in line with predictions from IDC which sites the Asia Pacific to be one of the regions to experience the fastest growth in e-Learning. ICD predicts the Asia Pacific e-Learning market will grow by 74.2% for the period 1999 - 2004.
