Sheffield Hallam University’s Faculty of Organisation and Management is celebrating after being recognized by the Institute of Quality Assurance (IQA).
The faculty has been awarded the Centre of Excellence in Quality Education status.
The University’s MSc in Total Quality Management and Organisational Excellence (TQM & OE) won the faculty this award in recognition of work to promote and deliver quality and business excellence education worldwide.
Course leader Dr Kadim Al-Shaghana said: “In 2002, we were one of only eight UK universities with Centre of Expertise status, but becoming a Centre of Excellence shows the value of academic and industrial contribution that the course team makes nationally and internally in the quality subject and academic development."
The MSc in TQM & OE is a professional management qualification that focuses on improving the all round performance of organisations.
It is designed to equip students for higher management and has established an international reputation. Successful completion leads to full membership of the Institute of Quality Assurance (IQA). The IQA has been accrediting the course since 1996.
