Learning Technologies Conference Programme Unveiled

Learning Technologies has announced its conference programme and the opening of the on line booking office for the upcoming conference on Wednesday 30 and Thursday 31 January 2008.

The conference, which runs alongside the Learning Technologies Exhibition, now in its ninth year, will have three tracks for delegates to choose sessions from:
1. Learning Technology on social networking in learning, Learning 2.0, gaming and virtual worlds, mobile learning and learning tools;
2. Effective Learning on learning design, learning rollouts and deploying e-learning, learning infrastructures, rapid e-learning and content development;
3. Learning for Performance on improving performance through organisational learning, managing talent, large-scale learning, measuring value and rethinking evaluation, and global competition.

Keynote speakers include Jay Cross, the founder of Internet Time Group, Dr. Itiel Dror, senior lecturer in Cognitive Neuroscience at University of Southampton, and Nigel Paine, the former head of learning at the BBC.

Conference chair Donald H Taylor said: “The learning professionals’ world is set for immense change, posing many questions about how learning can be organised to help businesses to succeed. We look forward to welcoming learning professionals to what promises to be our best conference yet.”
