New free online NVQ for arts practitioners

default-16x9

Reachout2000 is an exciting new training and professional development opportunity for arts practitioners offered by London Arts Training Consortium. It is the first programme providing full internet support for people involved in teaching, training or leading workshops in Dance, Choreography, Drama, Sculpture, Fine Art, Music, Literature, Theatre Design and Technology or any other artform.

Reachout2000 is suitable for anyone who uses their creative skills to work alongside individuals or groups. Artists facilitating workshop sessions in social, community or educational settings will benefit from the programme. Based around NVQ Delivering Artform Development Sessions and leading to accreditation at NVQ level 3, the programme covers planning and delivering arts sessions, health and safety regulations, etc.

What makes Reachout2000 unique is that work is presented and assessed via a specially developed Internet system. This means that arts practitioners in any part of the UK can participate if they have access to a PC and the Internet.

NVQs are qualifications that encourage individuals to achieve their maximum potential through assessment of their vocational competency. LATC is an NVQ centre and is recognised for its development work with artists and cultural organisations.

The programme is completely free of charge to participants. LATC’s team of qualified NVQ assessors will provide full technical support, training and assessment. For more information about Reachout2000 contact Peter Leigh at LATC on 020 7831 4040 or email info@latc.org.uk

Reachout2000 is supported by the Arts Council of England
