BT Ignite, BT’s international broadband and solutions business, is developing a new approach to sales training by using e-learning to deliver information to its staff. It is working with fuel, on this and several other e-learning applications.
While a part of BT, BT Ignite is a major business in itself. It employs 17,000 skilled people worldwide and, in the UK, serves more than 70 of the FTSE 100, the top ten retail banks and nine of the top ten high street retailers.
An online course has been produced which provides an overview of the company and its services to increase awareness of the many different parts of the organisation. This has been developed for major Account Managers, Business Development Managers across the organisation and BT Ignite sales staff and can be accessed as and when they wish.
fuel has also developed a web-enabled training course which gives a conceptual overview of what e-business is and how BT Ignite can offer solutions in the e-business arena. There is a third e-learning course whose aim is to raise the profile of the secure business services team among staff and further understanding of the issues surrounding security.
