Tony Blair has been appointed Howland Distinguished Fellow at Yale, one of the most prestigeous Universities in the Western World.
Here he will be training future senior business leaders and politicians.
Has he actually passed any of the qualifications listed in Dawn Smith's Question below?
If not, does this appointment damage the image of trainers/L&D professionals who look to qualifications as proof of (at least some level of) knowledge/competence?
Or can we all just bask in the reflected glory of standing alongside a retired statesman of great fame?

Not wishing to spark a political incident here but I just found this Blair quote on google.
The art of leadership is saying no, not saying yes. It is very easy to say yes.
Just seems ironic that Bush’s Yes man will now be teaching others to say no.

Not sure the comment from garry is particularly helpful on a professional site. OK for news/politics site but this is about training and development
In terms of the original question – this is not an uncommon appointment and whilst you may / may not agree with what he has done (which is irrelevant) he has held one of the top 4 or 5 positions in the world and certainly knows something about leadership, direction, crisis management etc.
Visiting professors tend to give 2 or 3 lectures a year so would think TB is more than qualified to do this.
