  1. More info?
    Hi Maggi

Hope you are well! Just a quick query for you:

What does your organisation do? From the information supplied it would make it quite difficult to highlight anything specific.

    Thanks :o)

    Andrew

  2. Maybe
    Hi Maggi,

Like the other respondent, it would be useful to know

    a/ what your organisation does
b/ what kind of external pressures it faces – and therefore why development of senior executives may be required
c/ presumably you mean in terms of learnign strategy or (for want of a better expression) – “soft skills” rather than other areas such as I.T. or something specific like “Risk Management”.

Sorry to answer with questions – something of a habit of mine – but I would certainly be able to help if I knew more about your situation.

  3. Top management programmes
    Maggi
I won’t say too much about who we are in case that is seen as advertising. However, we do provide an innovative and leading programmes for top managers from all sectors.
Some brief details of one of them is below:

We use a wide variety of types of activity to ensure you get maximum value from the programme – plenary sessions, simulations, case studies, individual and group work. The emphasis is on practical experience. You are given the opportunity to use skills, compare perspectives and directly apply methodology in a way that embeds learning. The live case studies provide an exciting edge, giving you the opportunity to report back to Government Ministers and Chief Executives from the private and voluntary sectors.
One case study on each programme generally examines an issue from the Government’s key current priorities while chief executives from the private and voluntary sectors act as clients for other case studies. The case study sessions are interspersed with others on the application of practical tools (e.g. Shell’s methodology on implementing strategy) and participant led sessions. Taken together, these provide the opportunity for you to hone the skills and behaviour necessary to be successful at the top of a large, complex organisation.

    Programme Overview:
Pre-programme day looking at creative organisations and introducing material on how to get the best from the Programme.
Live case study examining a key Government strategy/priority with implications for all sectors. Examples include the strategy for improving secondary education in London and overcoming inner city transport problems
Intensive leadership workshop using an approach adopted by several leading organisations in North America
Simulations and case studies on leadership, vision and strategy, strategic communications and handling crises. These involve TV and radio interviews, decision making under pressure and the active use of practical tools
Inspirational speakers and leading practitioners from public and private sectors such as Jeremy Vine, Dawn Airey, Gerard Houllier, Heather Rabbatts and Lord MacDonald
Dealing with paradox, uncertainty and complexity
    Futures and systems thinking
    Developing and implementing strategy
    Different approaches to change
Engaging with front line deliverers and the community
    The psychology of risk
Customers and stakeholders – meeting and exceeding expectations
Relations with politicians and the media
    Creativity and innovation
    Personal feedback
    Psychometrics and 360 degree feedback

    Hope this helps
    Graham
