There is a game called hollow square where a hollow square is divided into ten/twelve pieces. One half of the team have the 'plan' and have to brief the other half by word only to complete the puzzle

University Associates Exercise
Hollow Square: A Communications Experiment written by WH Schmidt and A Shedin was published by University Associates in the 1970s in Volume II of their Handbooks. Its goals were to study dynamics involved in planning a task to be carried out by others, planned by others and explore both helpful and hindering communication behaviours in assigning and carrying out a task. I ran the exercise (more times than I can remember) as part of a management training course for first line managers and am happy for you to contact me for more information. jenny.kevan@compair.com
Hollow Square
I have ran this exercise in our Manager Development Programme. A communications exercise with planners and workers.
