I am a member of an organisation promoting our town and an idea has been floated about imrpoving the quality of customer care by shop assistants. We want to look at having a local course that will not only deal with the usual customer care skills but also a bit about the town. The idea is to make visitors feel welcome and return to shop again. Does anyone have any experience of creating a course for such a vast range of people?

Excellent training tool.
Hi Tony,
One of the producers that i represent has produced an excellent customer service training video called ”How to Connect in Business in 90 Seconds”.
The video is very lively and aimed at improving customer care within the retail industry. It isn’t too long and works very well as a tool to train a large group of people.

It’s good to see someone looking at the premise of a unique course tailored to meet local needs and business needs.
I have some experience in this field and would be willing to chip in some ideas etc. Previously I have designed a sales and customer care training course for a call centre with similar focus and have plenty of background in retail.
