Creating a vision for senior HR staff

Does anyone have any activities/games that would be suitable for senior HR managers who are trying to create a vision statement for their service? As usual time is 'short' Thank you

    Get each of them to identify THREE things which form, in their view, the philosphy of the organisation, answering the question “Why are we here?”

    Sort for themes/similarities. Discard any which are single elements. Consider whether a single phrase or word would describe the themes. Ask the group to prioritise the themes. Choose the top three.

    Give the results to a copywriter to work up – writing by committee is arduous and often doesn’t produce anything which is snappy or smooth!

    I wouldn’t recommend the “draw a picture of the future” game – managers often turn their noses up at it and the results are nightmarish to combine – and often rely on words for explanation in any case.
