I have used previously monthly reports for training and development, to be quite honest these were produced because someone said so. I want to produce a monthly report with value including training metrics. Has anyone any ideas for content and if so has it worked for you
Thanks

Gap Matrices
Hi Nigel,
My previous monthly reports have usually been structured around a training gap matrix and annual/monthly plans. These link with business objectives and are therefore relevant and valuable. Reasons why training had/had not been carried out would be included as well as feedback on the quality of training received.
The short/medium term outcome was a revised monthly plan. The longer term outcome would be the changes to the annual plan, and future plans, based on the results of the training evaluations.
I always kept them simple and found a charted gap matrix was usually easy for people to follow.
Hope that helps
Pete
Training reports
Hiya
I have produced a number of different styles of training reports – depends on who your audience is.
In a nutshell, for the business senior management team I produced a training insert into the monthly regional report covering training days that month, update on projects and initiatives and key messages I needed managers to cascade down to learners. For my manager I would provide one with training figures broken down further (including budget spend for the month), feedback on training taken place and things that went well for me and didn’t go well.
I have always just tried to keep it simple and also interesting to the reader – happy to send you a couple of samples if it will help.
Regards…
Kate.
Thanks Kate
