Jack of all trades or SME? Which is most important?

default-16x9

Howdy all.

I've designed and delivered on a fairly broad range of topics over the years, from Driver Safety to IT systems training, from Coaching skills to Financial Services Regulation. I've worked for a diverse range of firms and have always been quite proud of the fact I've able to turn my hand to provide whatever is needed, and to a very good standard.

However, I have some concerns that I may be becoming a Jack of all trades and master of none.

I'd be interested to find out what the TZ folks feel is most important for a trainer/training manager.

Good all-rounder or expert in their field?

Your expertise is in the design and delivery elements….thats a skill right there.

Shows you are able to adapt depending on audience and content.
