AdVal announces that it has completed and delivered a bespoke software Learning Management System (LMS) to Mecca Bingo, part of the Rank Group, with a contract value of £432,000. AdVal has also supplied eleven hours of e-Learning material in four training modules as part of the contract, managed on the LMS, which is integrated into the existing computer network at Rank.
The e-Learning material is for new Mecca Bingo staff who have diverse educational backgrounds, familiarity with computers, genders and ages. With 124 Mecca Bingo clubs spread throughout the UK and a workforce of over 20,000, implementing and monitoring staff training has always been an essential part of Rank Group's business. The new learning strategy underpinned by the LMS has radically streamlined the processes to achieve this whilst bringing significant savings, both in time and costs. For the distributed outlets, AdVal has made updating the software, to ensure just-in-time changes in regulations or best practice, a straight-forward process from a central server at Mecca's Central Office - removing the previous problems of wasted, inaccurate and/or outdated learning materials. The LMS allows progress and results to be monitored directly in each Club, up to the minute reporting and administration for individual employees, and overall staff performance to be up-loaded overnight to the Central Office through a synchronised link-up.
Dennis Quilter, Chief Executive of AdVal commented,
"A very important Research & Development activity undertaken by AdVal over the past 2 years has come to fruition on the Rank Leisure project. AdVal has been involved in e-Learning and LMS Consulting for many years and we have installed bespoke systems and customised proprietary systems. However, in parallel, we have developed two product-sets, wholly owned by the Company, to solve the needs our clients have to monitor, measure, and report, on a distributed network, the performance of their staff on learning activities. We worked very closely with Mecca throughout concept, design, production and integration to ensure that our system would answer exactly what the people on the ground wanted and needed. We consciously produced materials suitable for the unique target audience.
We are now taking forward our new LMS product-set with a number of clients and prospects in the rapidly emerging e-Learning market. In so doing, we are addressing the key needs of companies and public bodies not only to launch e-Learning courses and assess staff performance but to measure the efficiencies, productivity and the savings they can achieve on the investment they put into training."
