Advice/Guidance Training

default-16x9

I am in the processsetting up a Learning Zone for internal staff and as part of this I am looking to give advice and guideance via a 'learning clinic' for staff regarding their professional and personal development requirements. Can anyone recommend a local short course/open learning/e-learning to get me on the right track?

I'm new to the training officer role (although I've worked in HR for 7 years) and have no training in training or guidance.

Hope you can help.

    Hello Claire.

As a trained guidance professional with over 13 years experience I would advise you to enlist the support of an expert/experts to offer assistance to staff.

Guidance and counselling are closely related areas and for good reason. Clients will expect impartiality and objectivity. In my experience this is sometimes difficult to achieve if you are actually a member of the organisation itself.

There are advice and guidance NVQs available today but generally they are geared towards the professional adviser. If you would like to talk about this further please e-mail me with your contact details. I would be more than happy to assist you.

    Good luck.
