And the winners are…

We've run several really successful competitions recently. In fact, we had more entries to the Champneys competition than to any other competition we've ever run, so thank you to everyone for their interest. Unfortunately, there can only be one winner. The good news for Elaine Roy, a learning and development coordinator at Wellstream International, is that she'll be on her way with a friend to a luxurious two night stay at Champneys, with all meals, a facial and massage thrown in. I'm jealous!

Thank you once again to Champneys for providing us with this wonderful prize.

Here are the answers to the questions that we asked:

Who owns Champneys health resorts?
Answer: Dorothy and Stephen Purdew

What is Champneys' own product range called?
Answer: Champneys Spa Collection

Where is the UK’s first Thalassotherapy pool?
Answer: Forest Mere - Hampshire

Three brilliant new coaching books will also be on their way to:

  • Mike Abbott, training & quality officer, Chartered Management Institute
  • Lucy Sleigh, training officer, JobServe
  • Dorothy Francis, from CaSE-da, the co-operative & Social Enterprise Development Agency
  • Each wins a copy of 'Psychometrics in Coaching - Using Psychological and Psychometrics Tools for Development'. The competition question was 'who commissioned the book?' And the answer was, of course, the Association for Coaching. Drawing on worldwide expertise, the book examines a range of psychometric questionnaires and challenges readers to consider which tests, if any, are appropriate and in what circumstances. Published by Kogan Page it costs £24.95. For more details go to www.associationforcoaching.com

Graham O'Connell will also be celebrating with a bottle of bubbly, after suggesting the winning name for our new occasional column. We had lots of great entries and we really liked several off them, but Offbeat was the most original.
