My website has a lot of free and downloadable material, and I want to increase traffic as i will be offering pcks of 50 powerpoint slides on key topics soon.

Does anyone have ideas on how best to get traffic up by for instance linking with sites seeking a mutually beneficial tie up?

Thanks,

Andrew Gibbons

  1. Service free or paid?
    Andrew,

The answer very much depends on whether you want to pay for the privilege. If so, then you can dramatically increase the hits by increasing your visibility on, say, google/ ask/ MSN search facilities.

Web sites such as this one, UKHRD, etc., usually have eNewsletters that have adverts in them. I know I personally have found many resources this way, so if you have to pay for this promotion it is still worth it.

In your web design, you can add meta tags which search engines use for searching. The more meta tags you have, the more searches will produce your website in its results.

    Hope this helps.

  2. Three questions
    1. Have you considered free or subscription affiliation with Trainerbase?

    2. Have you considered including a link to to your website when contributing to online forums?

    3. How carefully have you considered the utility and interest of your ‘Links’ to prospective visitors?
