Anti Discrimination case studies

default-16x9

I work for a mental health charity. We cover anti discriminatory practice as part of our mandatory training. I am looking for any case studies to make the legal section of our training more realistic and interesting. Anyone got any ideas?

  1. Case Studies
We run “mock trials” and “you the jury” sessions in our equality training courses based on landmark cases, some which our senior trainer has actually represented -tribunals and county courts

Let me know what areas you are looking at

  2. Film critical incident analysis
    Judith,

If you visit the resources page at the TrainerBase website,

    http://www.trainerbase.co.uk/

you can download a free critical incident analysis worksheet based on vignettes from the film ‘Men of Honour’ featuring Cuba Gooding, Robert DiNiro and Hal Holbrook.

    Hope this helps.

  3. Try the website of the Institute for Race Relations
As a diversity trainer myself I find that real life examples are the most powerful. The Institute for Race Relations website contains many examples of race discrimination that might be adapted to provide case study material.
