Applying Commercial Judgement

default-16x9

The competency I am looking to develop is: "Applying Commercial Judgement - uses knowledge and understanding of company and the market place to make sound decisions to achieve financial goals and grow the business".

I have started to put together a workshop which incorporates market place analysis, business strategy formulation, PEST and SWOT of business and intend to finish with some sort of exercise on how the individual can personally affect the success of business goals. Whilst I have loads of input, I am struggling with interactive exercises to explore and consolidate the info and what exercises to use to ensure transferrence of learning. Does anyone have any ideas?

  1. We did this recently
We recently carried out this exercise with assistance from TbD Global. The exercises they designed were sector specific and tailored to our business.

Our business development team learned a lot from them and it was well worth the investment. Their website is @ http://www.tbdglobal.com.

  2. Project Work
Why dont you get the participants to develop their own commercial projects throughout the event.

Each tool they then use eg SWOT can be applied to there own stuff

Have a look at our “Idea’s to Reality Machine” on our web site which gives an overview of how you might approach this.
