Would anyone be willing to share their appraisal system with me. We have had our appraisal system for five years and it is time to review it, I would be interested in other people's appraisal systems to see if there are any better ways of doing appraisals and, with permission, adopt/adapt another system.

I have used a book called Practical Performance Appraisal by Valerie and Andrew Stewart,Gower Press.ISBN Number 0 566 02081 5
It lends itself to case studies for training AND design for actual schemes.At least that’s how I have used it
The core chapter for you would be the schemes drawn up by their A toZ Retailing Company, Cloud Cuckoo and Partners Ltd,Money Brothers,Red Tape and Hardware International.There are templates,constrasting commentaries and some very good signposts.Waterstones should have it in stock.I imagine it will be around £25 now but well worth it!
