Are Podcasts useful?

Podcasts offer a convenient way to consume information while multitasking, making them useful for learning during commutes or workouts. Their effectiveness depends on your learning style and the podcast's quality and content relevance.

Are podcasts helpful way of getting useful information?

I currently host and produce a podcast show at www.topbriefings.com and I’d be interested to find out if people found podcasts a useful way of receiving information.

  1. Useful for me…
I have just recently got an ipod and have found it useful to listen to a whole variety of podcasts on the move. For both professional & personal interests. However I wouldn’t listen to a podcast in any other way. Too slow to access the info -I can’t speed read it.

There is information overload already so I think people choose to listen what is interesting/useful to them. So if the quality is good and relevant – people will listen.

Does anyone have any recommended podcasts they regularly listen to?

  2. Yes…easy to access any time anywhere
Yes, your right about their usefulness. I prefer them to audio books as I found I’d always end up buying the book to look up the points that were made.

I also like the fact that you can listen to them anytime and anywhere.
