Are you currently developing Emotional Intelligence within your organisation?


Are you willing to complete a short questionnaire on Emotional Intelligence in the Workplace in exchange for a summary of the research findings in October 2002? I am a postgraduate student at Bristol University and am writing my dissertation this summer on Emotional Intelligence in the Workplace. I am looking to send a short questionnaire to companies in the UK to find out how the concept of Emotional Intelligence is currently being applied and what are the specific barriers to its implementation. All information provided will not be directly traceable to any one individual or organisation. Your help would be very much appreciated.

  1. developing emotional intelligence
    Jackie asked about experience of developing EQ. I suggest starting with self-awareness as other EQ skills can follow on. One approach from NLP that we use is briefly to think back to a specific situation where you were aware of your emotions and how you felt and were able to remain in control of them and were able to behave effectively as a result. How did you see, hear feel? Anchor those feelings, etc.
