Bad Debt Collection Training

default-16x9

I'm writing a course on collecting Bad debt (from customers about to be sent to a debt collection agency for non-payment of their bill, to Direct Debits that have bounced) and would like some ideas or help on where I can find some extra information.

I've already got alot of informtion on communication skills (such as influencing and negotiation), but I'm a little stuck on keeping empathy with a customer while 'extracting' a promise from them on when they will be paying their bill.

Any tips, ideas and suggestions will be gratefully recieved.

Thanking you in advance

  2. Video
I seem to remember that Melrose did a good video on collecting debts from non-payers, if that’s any help.
