Business Etiquette by Telephone with Malaysia

default-16x9

I have a client who deals with Malaysian countries over the telephone. They frequently have to ask questions about when jobs will be completed/chase up work and negotiate with them.

When doing a negotiating workshop with them they asked about dealing with Malaysian companies.I have been unable to find any information that may help them and I wonder if there is anyone who could point me in the direction of finding some useful information?

  1. Malaysian Telephone Etiquette
    (1) Try the Malaya volume of the following books: “Culture Shock!” and “Insight Guide” or any similar in the travel section of a decent bookshop

    (2) Contact the Centre for International Briefing at Farnham Castle; or Cultural Fluency in Bournemouth;

    (3) Ask SOAS at London University; or any local University with a decent Oriental Studies department

    (4) Try the Overseas Department of BT, or any major UK multinational with interests in the Far East

    (5) Else: British Council, FCO, DTI, CIPD International Forum etc

    Once you start to think, the ideas are endless!
