I am developing a business writing course for researchers in our pre-employment screening division. They have to write to both our clients and our clients’ candidates. Does anyone have any interesting / fun exercises that would liven this up a bit?

I would be interested in developing this as a course to offer staff as well as consider for the screening process for hiring staff – I was hoping to begin with what would be considered an acceptable level of skill first, would you be able to share your outline of what you intend to train ? I was considering an online facility for this particular course but would be very keen to hear your views of approach to this course.

I once saw the Plain English campaign run a course which involved writing a report about a bar of choc from an informative,persuasive,options and discursive perspective. Everybody got a bar!
