Career Plans

default-16x9

Hi

I work within the Learning & Development Team of a Financial Services organisation.

We are looking to develop new Career Plans which will map development from new entrant through to Team Manager.

Does anyone have any examples of Career Plans that they would be willing to share?

Thanks.
Vicki Gilbert

  2. Career Pathways for L&D professionals
    Dear Vicki

L&D professionals can become demotivated where there is no recognition of individual skills and knowledge within a coherent career development structure. Creating such a structure and investing in skills development is a potent motivator of engagement, improving morale, performance and retention.

The Training Foundation has advised a number of major financial services organisations on the development of career paths for L&D professionals over the last year.

You will find a generic Career Pathway on page 9 of our 2008 Qualifications Prospectus. This can be downloaded from the foot of the webpage at:

    http://www.tap-training.com/page/roles/core.html

This generic path goes all the way from Learning Deliverer to L&D Manager.

We would be happy to provide specific advice on tailoring this Career Path to meet the specific needs of your organisation.

    Regards
