Case Studies Wanted

I recently did an interview with Seth Godin about being remarkable – here’s a snapshot of the interview:

DG: In your book ‘Purple Cow’ you argue that organisations need to provide products and services that get talked about. Is this the sole responsibility of the marketing department?

SG: My position is that the WHOLE company is the marketing department. Hiring, for example, is a marketing act. Not just the way you do it, but who you hire as well.

DG: So how can an organization encourage its people to be remarkable?

SG: The very same way they encourage people to not steal or to give a speech or anything else that might be difficult. It's mostly about deciding that it is important and rewarding it and expecting it

If you believe that your Human Resources or Training function has done something remarkable and they are willing to talk about what they did, then email me at [email protected] and we’ll look at featuring it in a future Top Briefings Passionate People Show.
